• Yangtze River Cruises Cancellation Policy

  cancel 45 days in advance: charge 15% of the total amount as cancellation fee. cancel 30 days in advance: charge 30% of the total amount as cancellation fee. cancel 15 days in advance: charge 50% of the total amount as cancellation fee. cancel 10 days in advance: charge 70% of the total amount as cancellation fee. cancel less than 7 days in advance: change 100% of the total amount as cancellation fee.

• Are there any differences between upstream and downstream Yangtze River cruises? Or is it just that downstream is a little faster?

  Usually downstream cruise will take less time than upstream but it is more expensive on some ships because of higher demand from travelers. Some shore excursions may be different because of the different schedules by no means less interesting.

• How far in advance do you recommend to book the cruise?

  We recommend that you book as early as possible to secure your preferred ship. The Yangtze Cruise trip is very popular and ships room full quickly, especially in peak traveling seasons. Book early to avoid disappointment!

• What is the average weather like on my sailing?

  The gorgy topography features strong wind, humid and less sunshine. The average temperature reaches 30 C in July and 10 C in January.

• Do any of the cabins have balconies over-viewing the river?

  Most cabins do not have balconies. Staterooms on some ships have balconies. Ships with private cabins are: Victoria( 5 star) President 1 ( 5 star), Yangtze Angel( 5 star), Emperor( 5 star), Century Star 1 ( 5 star), Yangtze Paradise( 4 star).

• Tour Cancellation Policy

  For Tours Without Flight/Train/Cruise, There is NO Cancellation Fees, you can change or cancel your travel plan 48 hours before your tour starts; For air tickets: cancellation fee is 30% of total fare cost. For train tickets: cancellation fee is 100% of total fare cost. Note: Credit Card Transcation Fees can NOT be refunded, which is charged by Bank (ChinaBank charges 5% of credit card charges as transcation fee). We understand that travellers may need to change their travel schedule depending on their needs, sometimes because of emergencies. We are a 7*24 hours working company providing full service for any travel change/cancellation, our powerful travel services will ensure the flexibility of your travel bookings.

• Hotel Payment Method

  You may choose Pay at hotel side, or Pay in Advance. 1. For Pay at hotel side (including "1. book without credit card" and "2. book with credit card guarantee"), NO Pre-payment needed. You can pay when you arrive in the hotel and pay by your credit card in most China hotels.

• Is Internet access available inhotels in China?

  Most of the hotel in China provide Internet service.

• On your web site, there are different kind of Tours, Luxury, Standard and Budget, what are the differences?

  In most circumstances, Chinalandscapes uses 5 star hotels for Luxury Class, 4 star hotels for Standard Class, 3 star hotels for Budget Class.

• Can I confirm a non-smoking hotel room?

  Yes,we can book a non-smoking or other type of room for you upon your requirements.

• Chinese Hotels ask for a large deposit when I check in, is this normal?

  All Chinese hotels will ask for a deposit upon check in. The amount required will vary depending on the hotel.

• Is it safe to drink water from a bottle water dispenser in my hotel room?

  No. We advise our customers not to drink from any bottled water dispenser in a hotel room. Most hotels provide individual bottles of water or large containers of hot water.
